I came to the spiritual path early.

I wanted to be a nun when I was nine years old! God and all things religious were always part of my life even after I parted from the church at sixteen, but my understanding came from the scriptures until the life changing day when I started to study homeopathy.

I fell in love with homeopathy when I first stumbled across it nearly thirty years ago and this was where I started my journey on the spiritual path as I understand it now.

For me homeopathy is so much more than fixing someone’s sore ear or treating their depression. Every single person who comes through my clinic door has picked me for a reason. Some have a realisation of that reason and embrace the work we can do together, while others merely brush past on their way to somewhere else.

Of course I treat children – I ran The Children’s Ear Clinic in Perth for eight years – and I treat post natal depression and asthma and support women in pregnancy and mums and dads making decisions about immunisation, but homeopathy is energy regardless of what I’m presented with and that’s what I work with.

So while I qualified as a ‘homeopath’ almost 20 years ago and I dispense homeopathic or vibrational remedies, what I work with is the alchemy of energy.

In the 20+ years I’ve been consciously on my own path, I’ve tried lots of spiritual practices myself. I used to run round in circles trying to out-think myself. I read all the books, I went on all the courses, I had past life readings, I meditated and tried connecting with my guides, but I became more confused, more ungrounded and unfocused and felt further from my purpose.

Eventually I got the message that I needed to stop all the running around and just be still. So I did. I stopped everything apart from the practise of yoga (which was the other half of our business at the time) and working as a homeopath. I stopped reading spiritual books and started reading crime fiction. I started to sew and to garden, to make jams and pickles and other grounding and seemingly ordinary things. And for me it worked!

Along with a couple of well chosen vibrational remedies, I began to hear my Soul whispering and I realised that I didn’t need to go looking for my spiritual path because I was already walking it. My homeopathic practice was my classroom and my clients my greatest teachers.

How do I work?

Many working on the spiritual path talk about being intuitive, channelling, connecting with their guides and so on. I work with the energy that is life. I sense the connection between the disturbance and the energy required to rebalance that energy. For me this is a tangible process which is rather like counselling but brings transformation in sometimes dramatic ways, removing blocks and moving us forwards.

I walk the path with my clients, tracing the timeline and pulling the threads together to find the core. The ‘talk’ is part of the energetic process. The vibrational remedy I select to rebalance the energy at that point is the catalyst, the tool for transformation.

In 2001 I created the Twelve Harmonics for Soul Integration – tools for transformation on the spiritual path. I used these with some of my clients. Dean and I used them with our Inspired Life Path Readings with great results.

After our move to Tasmania in 2007 and the creation of the amazing space that is our home, garden and clinic at Wyldwood, things really took off in terms of connecting with the energy of what I was being asked to do. We grew the garden to make a range of flower essences possible and Dean created a range of around eighty plant essences.

In 2013 I launched the WyldChyld Essences, a range for children which have proven popular and powerful.

And in 2016 the Twelve Harmonics were relaunched as the Soul Harmonics.

But still I had only dabbled in my spiritual path work with clients, seeing the soul issues as part of the whole, but playing safe with the remedies I was working with, despite being introduced to many of the meditative remedies I have in my toolkit back in the mid-1990s.

In late 2014 I started on the Soul Whispering website but didn’t get further than the title! I had already distracted myself for a few years trying to ignore the message about speaking my truth and continued to do so for a little longer.

During a well-earned break in Bali in mid-2015, I had the opportunity of a reading with an amazing astrologer who laid it all on the line and I had no choice but to accept the task that I knew had been there all along. Once I got home I was so inundated with people needing help specifically on their spiritual paths that I knew it was time to really step out.

It’s always been a joy working with clients and seeing them shift lifelong blocks but recently it’s also been a little sad. In stepping fully into the light there have been friends who don’t understand the work I need to do and who find my truth quite challenging. It’s part of life that people come into our lives for a while and then move on and we need to let them go.

On the other hand, I feel so blessed to be asked to work with the amazing souls who seek me out. I feel blessed and honoured and I hope I can make a difference in many more lives with this amazing tool I have been given to work with on my own path.

In my life outside of homeopathy (which isn’t too extensive!!) I love to spend time in the garden at Wyldwood with my hands in the dirt. I love hanging out with my 21-year-old son, Tom and his girlfriend Cally, my husband (and Dispensary Manager) Dean and my girls, Jasmine (West Highland/Poodle/Maltese Cross) and Buffy (a very demanding and interesting oriental/black moggy!).
