Ok, so we know that thought arises in the mind, and that is often all our actions stem from.

But let’s take a step back!

Let me give you a scenario to play with.

Every morning you wake, and the first thing that you do is to look at your media device, i.e. mobile, computer, television, etc. and in your news feed you receive a blog or video that says “the energies are this or that today”.

How would your mind receive, absorb and work with these thoughts?

Some would consider this helpful as it would account for why they are feeling this way or that, or they may even plan their day according to this information.

Yes, there are beings super-sensitive to many things, and I would not want to belittle what is taking place within them, but for most of us when we are told something, that can become our reality all too easily.

You could even say that when I write something, the same can happen, and that is also true.

My point is that our egoic mind is constantly in search of another “why” so that it can maintain its dominance over our lives.

Back to the energies analogy. I have never really understood astrology,  and can’t say that I feel the difference when mercury is retrograde or not, and the concept of the heavens controlling my connection to the Divine is a bit, shall we say, out there!

Nothing and no one is ever in control of your life unless you let it be.

Switch off the media and your mind and wake to a new day fully aware! Try this for one week and see what difference you feel. Do you feel more centred? Do you feel less anxious? Are you actually missing anything??

Ease yourself back into your self and your own divine connection and let go of the clutches of social media and external input and see if you can feel a difference.
